ADDICTION, a poem by LAS

Has no idea what the holidays are.
They are a busy time,
To hide under the radar.
An easy time,
To be high.
No one will notice.

Remember – there is egg nog.
I can fool everyone during the holiday,
And I certainly can not let them down by being in
To get help, it is an embarrassment to my family.
And it would be better to show up
To see grandma.

She gives me a card with cash.
I can get a lot of bags…
And then give up in January,
In February,
Then be out to party for summer!
Sounds like a plan?
But it is the real, raw reality of ADDICTION.
